I don't live there, but I live in Kentucky. I've been to AR three times and, I'll admit, the state didn't overly impress me. But, two times I just drove through but stopped at a hotel and the occasional convenience store. East of Little Rock is very boring with the Mississippi Delta lands, but west of L.R. is actually quite pretty, with the piney woods and gently rolling hills. Many of today's millionaires (some of which are actually self-made) live there; one of the most famous national parks, Hot Springs, is there; one of the top 25 fastest-growing metro areas in the country is Northwest Arkansas; Governor Huckabee's office has undertaken an aggressive TV campaign to promote economic development, some of the commercials of which have been seen on Fox News.

To Arkansans: What is great about your state, and what you like or dislike about it? I don't want to have a "full opinion" about AR until I visit more, see more attractions, and get to know more people from there. Thanks!

What can you remember being most afraid of as a child?
Are you still afraid of it?

I remember being terrified of Micheal Myers from Halloween. And yes, I still am! He can always catch up to you no matter how fast you're running, and no matter how slow he's walking!!!

Least friendly: Louisville, KY (top place), Lawrenceburg, KY, Frankfort, KY, Lexington, KY, Corbin, KY (no manners!), Winchester, KY, Breezewood, PA, Clinton, NJ, Evansville, IN, the NJ entrance into the Lincoln Tunnel, New York City (but it didn't bother me much because I expected it when I got there.)

Michigan, by the way, gets a horrible rap from people. I've found the people from there to be surprisingly friendly, though; I've never had just an "awful" experience with a Michiganian; most of them have been very nice to me. OK, maybe Detroit ain't much, but other than that, it's nice.

Kentucky is a different kettle of worms: some of the nicest and meanest cities I've ever been to are there. If you go into the wrong town or the wrong part of a town at the wrong time, you might regret going. In KY I've found, ironically, that the cleaner and sometimes wealthier the town, the friendlier and happier the people are.

People post alsorts of stuff on here, but how many yanks realise that ASDA is WALMART in Britain? There are misunderstandings on so many questions. Which ones make you laugh and which ones confuse you. If you put one that you do not understand maybe I know it and can add it to additional details on the question, or maybe someone else knows and can post it with their reply!!
