If they made another Gone with the Wind movie, who would you choose to be Rhett and Scarlett? I would choose Thorsten Kaye and Alicia Minshew. They play Zach and Kendall on All My Children.

They would make another Gone With The Wind for a thousand times,but they could not make another Clark Cable and Vivian Leigh .

Sean Connery and either Kathleen Turner or Katherine Zeta Jones. Kathleen was qutie the irresistable b**ch in The War of the Roses - even with no boobs. A good warm up role for Gone With the Wind. Zeta Jones ... gentlemen, no further explanation of powerful and seductive is needed. Sean Connery walks into the room and everyone knows he is the alpha male. As strong as Clarke Gable played the role, nobody does it better than the best James Bond would do it . Vivien Leigh was, in the end, a bit too prissy and too impressed by her lines ... not believable to me. I stopped caring about her and didn't buy the part where she was cunning and ruthless in the reconstruction south. Vivien would have been eaten alive in that environment.
I would have told Vivien Leigh "Frankly, my dear ... oh ... I forgot your name. Good thing I don't give a damn." She was beautiful and looked the part in a still, but not quite what Margaret Mitchell had in mind, I don't think.

It wouldn't matter to me, they could use Ron Jeremy and Jenna Jameson for all I care. Nothing can beat the original and I probably would never watch a remake of it.

I wouldn't chose any losers from soaps. I would chose major actors who certainly have better skills are used to being in starring in movies.
