Rappers like him and Eazy E (rip) keep being mentioned as the best. Should'nt Ice Cube have this title, even Tupac said that he learned from him. Dre has always had ghostwriters even during the NWA era. The Chronic series were both ghostwritten and half the albums's songs are done by other rappers: Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, RBX, The Lady of Rage, Daz, Nate Dogg, Warren G, Xzibit, Eminem, Hittman and even Eddi Griffin!

Just Blaze: "I don’t turn my nose up at something just because it’s what "the kids" are into today… (I get a huge kick out of Soulja Boy, tho I’m not bumping it) But there has to be a balance. Pop music is just that. Popular music, and has been here since…. well forever. Always will be too. Speaking of Soulja Boy, all you people who hate on records like that, Chicken Noodle Soup, Lip Gloss, etc. Shut up. I mean really. these are kids. They’re like 15, 16! You act like its a grown 30 year old woman or man making these records. They’re made by some (mostly) talented kids… FOR kids for the most part. Nothing more than today’s "Iesha’s" and "Playground’s" I mean, if some 16 year old kid came out pushin weight and bussin his gun for his man in the feds, that’s when I’d have a problem. Let a kid be a kid. When T.I. makes "Tomato Grilled Cheese and a 20 oz. Snapple", get mad. But yes, balance is another thing that is sorely missing."

I understand ALOT of rappers are thick-skinned, people will always talk about them, but at the same time they're only human..they put their shoes on the same way as you and me,

Since i know 100% of rappers never been on here, im just askin this question *Hypothetically speaking, which rap/hip hop artist(s) do you think get heated when he/she comes to this section and reads some of the posts...I guess this would apply more to the young artists who havent been around for a while

You know, something that takes your breath away, like this song right here:

http://jburna24.imeem.com/music/w_vlRNJk/world_without_words/

I just love that kind of music. Like maybe a relaxing hip hop beat like samurai champloo music, you know, nujabes, force of nature etc...I love this kind of music. Just stuff that can help you sit back and relax.

For the bashers, I'll save you the trouble:
-You don't need talent to rap
-My rabbit could do it. Try making REAL music
-"Insert idiotic post here"

Getting back to the point, what's up with that? I remember when I was a kid and I was just gettin into basketball, I, and many others I'm sure, was like "I'm gonna be in the NBA"...but reality struck. I mean, why doesn't reality seem to strike as hard with hip-hop? If you know you're not gonna contribute anything to advance the game, then what's the point? The obvious answer is monetary motivation, but could it possibly be deeper than that?

In the last round Nas was in a close battle with Tupac, Nas had one more vote. Biggie crushed Eminem by 8 votes, some how Jay Z defeats Rakim by 2 and KRS-One kills Ice Cube by 6.
Same as before just pick one of the rappers in each round the winner will go to the Finals and determine who the best rapper is

1)Nas vs 1)KRS-One
2)Biggie vs 2)Jay Z

LOL he must've forgot about all those other great rappers out there Kanye is ok but he's not even close to being the best rapper today.

2007-09-19 12:25:13 · 8 answers · asked by Anonymous

I know there's alot of 50 haters out there but 50's last 2 albums sold more than Kanye's first 2 albums so that makes 50 better than Kanye,Kanye only beat him with one album so 50 is the better rapper end of story and the Graduation is a horrible album it proves how much Kanye sucks so 50 doesn't have to retire.

Okay, the purpose of me writing this is to toggle peoples opinion that completely think rap is bad and have no point. Alot would argue the fact that most rap talk about guns drugs females. to keep it simple, You dont like it or understand it beacuse you cant relate or simply beacause you may have your own preference.

4 those who think all rap is crazy and pretty much have nothing to say because there lyrics are to violent etc...

Try listening 2 these songs on You tube then comment I'll just give you a couple
YOU TUBE 2 listen- listen to the lyrics
lupe fiasco-He Say She Say
lupe fiasco- dumb it down

Hip-Hop ain't dead. That's just coming from an artist(nas) that's dead. Hip-Hop being what it was in his era - the 2Pac/Nas/Biggie/Jay-Z era - is dead. Right now [fans] don't want to hear that nonsense. Those guys that flood their music with too much intellectual information don't sell. You could be so creative that you just got a smock and a French accent!"

Why Do People Keep Arguing And B*Tching About Who Sold More Records Any Real Hip Hop Fan Dose NOT Care About Who Sells More Record But Which Artist Gives Them Better Quality Music So Why Should You Care Who Sold More Are You Getting A Cut Of The money From There Sales Your The Consumer So What You Should Care More About Is Who Gave You Better Music And The Thing About This Is the best part about the whole thing is that the record labels for both artists are owned by the same company. so while you're on here trying to figure out which artist won, the winner is actually the executive who put together this marketing scheme in order to sell more albums
