I don't like rap in general, because of the general content that this music usually contains. In my opinion, this is almost a battle of two different styles. 50 represents the whole "shoot up my block on drugs" rap, while Kanye represents a new, better, wholesome side of rap. Many people (including me) don't really care which rapper is better, but what each persons standards for themselves are.
Kanye is revitalizing the true esscence of music, to portray your own inner self, not to show everyone that you can kill someone by pulling a trigger.

I totally agree with you. I was one of the people caught up in the hype too. I think it was because people were so driven to buy the cd of their favorite artists. As if everyone took the side what they call "good music" When Kanye won it was like a backlash against all the whack music that has been put out there and labeled "Hip Hop" In my mind it was a declaration that the people have been starved for some real music . We are tierd of "Ringtone Rap" Yeah you are right. None of us are reaping the benefit of the album sales but In my mind Kanye delivered the better music, and for once I am glad to see the numbers on the side of quality and not the gimmick.

Tellem Esco. It is always that one guy in the back that makes the most money off of it. LOL Why do they care. And to be real i did not get either album and don't plan on it. Kanye is not all that great. These people are talking like he is gods gift. I think he is a much better producer than rapper but that is just me. The quality on both albums are not good. Just listen to them. But then again do you fool listen to music or do you just skim trough it.

Due to the fact that I don't like 50, this competition was fun. It would really be interesting if they battled with the MUSIC like Nas and Jay Z did.

Record labels are always going to work in a corrupt way, they always have. They have to do something because record sales are dwindling because of the Internet. Ha-ha!

I think that you are right and i don't care who sold more records. Most people are just gonna bootleg it any way. i went and bought cupid's album instead. Because all the drama doesn't make any sense period.
