Okay, the purpose of me writing this is to toggle peoples opinion that completely think rap is bad and have no point. Alot would argue the fact that most rap talk about guns drugs females. to keep it simple, You dont like it or understand it beacuse you cant relate or simply beacause you may have your own preference.

4 those who think all rap is crazy and pretty much have nothing to say because there lyrics are to violent etc...

Listen to Lupe Fiasco, Common, OutKast, Kanye West, Talib Kweli, and Nas if you want to know what real rap is. These songs have lyrics, content that makes you think. It really is the best genre in music when you listen to the real stuff. The crap on the radio is awful, only beaten out by death metal for worst music out there.

let me tell u a few things about this business that u may not have known. It's a $14,000,000,000 a YEAR industry. Rap is a art because it's poetry. If u don't like it, quit complaining and just don't listen to it. There are many other things thst ppl talk about besides guns, drugs, and girls. Take common for example. he talks about problems in life and many other things. Personally, i love rap music because it all tells a story whether it's bad, good, or pointless.

There is a lot of Rap / Hip hop that has content. People who dont like it will say it has no content, no point/sense in its lyrics. Take Common, Nas, Luda, and Kanye and dont 4 get Tupac (just to name a few) a lot of their Music has content.
