Just Blaze: "I don’t turn my nose up at something just because it’s what "the kids" are into today… (I get a huge kick out of Soulja Boy, tho I’m not bumping it) But there has to be a balance. Pop music is just that. Popular music, and has been here since…. well forever. Always will be too. Speaking of Soulja Boy, all you people who hate on records like that, Chicken Noodle Soup, Lip Gloss, etc. Shut up. I mean really. these are kids. They’re like 15, 16! You act like its a grown 30 year old woman or man making these records. They’re made by some (mostly) talented kids… FOR kids for the most part. Nothing more than today’s "Iesha’s" and "Playground’s" I mean, if some 16 year old kid came out pushin weight and bussin his gun for his man in the feds, that’s when I’d have a problem. Let a kid be a kid. When T.I. makes "Tomato Grilled Cheese and a 20 oz. Snapple", get mad. But yes, balance is another thing that is sorely missing."

Now I'm not saying that I like Soulja Boy's music after reading that quote, but i *DO* understand and respect it now... I know its gon be a couple of people on here talkin about "I'm 15 and I hate that crap! I like Nas, Common, etc" but lets be real, YOU might like Nas and Common, but the majority of kids today *DONT*

I don't like the music when it is called rap or hip hop, but if its called pop or hip hop, Im fine with it. And it is jr highers that listen to it or people who dont like rap so its fine. And it is a good point, if I heard a kid saying the first line of Big Pimpin, for example, i would be more worried then if i heard them say" u do that soulja boy"

"But yes, balance is another thing that is sorely missing."

thats the only important thing said throughout the whole statement, the shyt about the dances and the artist ages is irrelevant cuz their have always been dances, ie: Lean Back, Harlem Shake, and those were both done by men in their late 20's, early 30's (Fat Joe & Mase)..to me, its a double standard, its like Just Blaze wants kids to be making "pop" hits just because they are kids..maybe somebody should've told that to Rakim & Nas when they came out..even lil wayne when he first came out (as a teen) wasnt on that pop ish, granted he wasnt all that lyrically talented but he still had the street element to his rhymes and no one was knockin him for that, and i dont consider him to be a "God MC"..Honestly, i think the ages is an excuse for lack of balance in hip hop today

No it did no longer. yet i grew to become into already professional-existence. I in no way ought to choose how a fetus grew to become into no longer basically a point of human progression. Like being a toddler or a baby a youngster or person or senior. I propose it does no longer have stepped forward into an aardvark or a bunny rabbit. And it being a point of human progression killing the fetus ought to have been seen homicide. As for it being no longer able to proceed to exist outdoors it particularly is mothers womb. don't be attentive to of any adults which could proceed to exist outdoors their organic ecosystem the two. As for rape or what ever. Are we now condemning and executing for the crime dedicated by utilising a discern? wager so. as quickly as you throw good judgment and reason out the window you're able to do in spite of you experience like it particularly is attainable the deal.

I agree with Just Blaze. I may do the "Aunt Jackie" and Crank Dat, but I also like my Common and Mos Def. Balance is key and it's missing.

When I was 10 years old I was listening to Dr. Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube, Wu-Tang, ATCQ, and Black Moon. No excuse for the stupidity that comes out.
