How can one type a line of music using WORD?
I found a marvellous staff template, but how do I
put the notes in??
The reason I'm asking is that I have a mystery tune I
would like to identify and I want to type it and post
it as a question here for identification.
I have wondered about this tune for many years!
Thanks!

Mark King of Level 42 is the best rhythm and slap bassist ive ever heard. Victor Wooten does so many amazing techniques with a 4 string that he has to be mentioned. Flea may not be as fast as the first two, but his powerful riffs are the best part of any show by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Finally, theres Les Claypool, the virtuoso that serves as role model to aspiring bassists everywhere. can anyone name some other good ones?

My songs (I think) fall into the Americana genre...folk, rock, blues, with a country flavor. I'm in the process of looking for legitimate publishers on the internet, but most will not accept unsolisited material, or they ask for money up front. I'm independent without an attorney, no one to represent me. All my songs are done professionally in a state-of-the-art studio. I have entered some of them in a song writting contest, winners will be notified in the fall. I have copyright protection. Of course I'm told by family and friends that they are GREAT!! I need an objective opinion from a music industry professional. I recently found a few publishing companys that will accept unsolisited material (and didn't ask for $) and I'm waiting for their reply. I'm open to suggestions...an honest professional critique would be welcome. If nothing else, I think this excersice can be very therapeutic..hee, hee. Thanks for listening.

And, for 10 well-deserved points, provide a couple of lines of your song translated into 'Bobbese', that strange singing language in which:

(a) THE wrong words ARE emPHASised;

(b) The right words are draggedddddddd to longggggg, painful deathhhhhhhs, and;

(c) a dude says 'Uhhhhh' for no reason at regular intervals.

Knock yourself out!

It's from the 90's and it had George Bush (the first one not Dubbya) saying "A new world order" in it. That's all I can remember about it but I think I liked it.

I know it's a remake of an old song but instead of a guy singing it's a girl. All I remember is this part.

"The best things in life are free but you can give them to the birds and bees I want money"

or something like that. Help me out folks!

For example, Maroon 5 and The Killers sing lots of songs that sound like they could have been recorded in the 80s.

Can you name some specific songs that you've heard in the last 5 or so years that struck you as sounding 80s-ish?

I recognized
