Typing music with Word?

Question

How can one type a line of music using WORD?
I found a marvellous staff template, but how do I
put the notes in??
The reason I'm asking is that I have a mystery tune I
would like to identify and I want to type it and post
it as a question here for identification.
I have wondered about this tune for many years!

I really don't think it's possible. You'd have to get a program specifically for writing music.

Maybe you could just post the notes like "Half-note A, quarter note G." It's slow but it's something.
