Mark King of Level 42 is the best rhythm and slap bassist ive ever heard. Victor Wooten does so many amazing techniques with a 4 string that he has to be mentioned. Flea may not be as fast as the first two, but his powerful riffs are the best part of any show by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Finally, theres Les Claypool, the virtuoso that serves as role model to aspiring bassists everywhere. can anyone name some other good ones?

I like Dani G's list but I'd add Steve Harris (Iron Maiden), Bootsy Collins (Parliament Funkadelic/J.B.'s), and the late great James Jamerson (Mowtown) too.
