Who agrees with me, it isn't so much a song contest these days, but just a show of political correctness? Greece gives Cyprus 12 points, and vise-versa, Norway gives Sweden 12 points and vise-versa - etc - the songs have nothing to do with it - the Baltic states 'keep it in the family' too - And nobody likes the UK hence the nil-points but then oh thanks Ireland for the 7 points!!!!

Year after year it's the same old story, pick a group of talentless, self absorbed twerps. Give them a really awful load of rubbish to perform and expect them to win.
OK, we shouldn't take this contest to seriously, and the voting is a joke but do we have to make our nation a laughing stock too?

We (The UK) mad complete fools of ourself in-front of a whole continent.

whats a good intermediate/advanced drum set? What is the best hardwood for the shells and how many plys? I will be playing hard rock music. I want drums that have a nice crisp punchy sound. Should I get shallow or deep toms? I have a dw pacific that I have used for many years but I'm sick of the sound. Ive tried different heads, muffled etc. Still sounds like crap. I have good hardware/cymbals. Just interested mostly about the type of wood shells are used and how many plys. What do the pro's look for. Thanks for your kind responses, everybody.
