Year after year it's the same old story, pick a group of talentless, self absorbed twerps. Give them a really awful load of rubbish to perform and expect them to win.
OK, we shouldn't take this contest to seriously, and the voting is a joke but do we have to make our nation a laughing stock too?

What its to do with is: Is us mugs in the UK foot the bill for every country in the world when they have a crisis. We fight in wars to save countries that dont want us there. We are the first country to offer aid and aid-workers in any crisis. We home all the immigrants from all over Europe. Yet in the Eurovision all our continentel neighbours forget about this and cant even give us a point in a song contest. I bet there would be more people come forward to give us good points if it meant they got to live in this country.

Because the programme hostess ignored Terry Wogan's announcement, and made a bad choice of her own.
But, don't take it too seriously, it is not going to affect global warming or the real world.
In any case, why should there be a need for voting and winners? After all, it is a failry reasonable 3 hours of musical entertainment, and does not need to pretend to be anything more.

I want a percentage of my licence money back. I do not want to spend it on programmes where these people are voted for by the viewing public, or on the tasteless show which the eurovision contest has become.

We never win at anything - football, tennis (Henman is a joke) and even the Eurovision. We have no competitive streak in us - we are happy to be the hapless losers. It's so embarrassing.

Because we don't take Eurovision seriously, unlike other European countries. Ours was truly shocking, we didn't even go for the obvious rock theme that everyone else was doing.

Perhaps they fitted the Camp test- as in they were highly camp , outdated and a clone of the Euro-slums that take that Euro-bollocks seriously, and thus qualified

well to be fair it wouldn't really matter if we managed to pick an absolutely fantastic talented act because everyone hates us politically anyway.
Don't take it seriously, it's supposed to be a fun kitsch fest. Ukraine should have won!

Just another implosion in the pan.
Another one-flop-wonder.
Kinda reminds me of the that 'band' that 'sung' that song about fast food joints or somthing like that.
