Today's music is centered around solo artists, which isn't bad at all, but all of the classic bands that everybody's heard of ( Beatles, Rolling Stones, ...) are all old enough to be grandfathers. Bands tend to stay popular longer, especially the ones that have been around longer. So what's changed?

it was popular in the late 80's early 90's and kids were blowing speakers, it was very robotic sounding, transformers or informers or something like that. Does anybody know what I'm talking about? I first heard it in 1992 on a cassette

In Europe, Trance and electronic music in general are very popular. But in the states, most people don't even know what trance is... I'm an european but now I live in USA and the only place I can hear electronic music is on the internet radio stations. I think this country is too obsessed with Rock and Hip Hop, pop. They should try something new....
