so do u know? Its a trick question?

2007-03-15 11:40:07 · 9 answers · asked by Anonymous

I've only heard this three times in the past year or so, and always on a country station... so I figure it's country.
I don't know the title or artist, and I've tried using search engines with no results.
It's a male voice; these are the only lyrics I can remember:

"When it rains, I don't mind being lonely, I cry right along with the rain."

It's a bit up-beat (despite the lyrics), and a bit bouncy. I'm pretty sure no one has any idea what this song is, but I'm willing to try for any ideas anyways.

Any ideas are appreciated --thank you!!

well, It probably dates back to about 8 years ago to this day. I remember hearing it alot on WLIR a long island radio station which was known for playing rock, alternative and house or techno? back then. I remember the beginning of the song sounded like U2's without or without you and then he came in with "A heart is a.." I think? He had an accent, maybe british? It was a heavy accent with a deep voice, sounded amazing though, moved you. All I remember the song being about was how he lost his wife and son at sea or something? and how he was in sorrow, I think? It was a sad song, slow, gloomy but with this heart that made you just want to belt it out. This song always pops into my head from time to time and its' just one of those songs you can just never get a hold of, the ones that stay on th tip of your tougne. I'd really appreciate it anyone knows anything, it would me alot to me. thanks.

Have you seen pearly diamonds fallen from your lovers head
Did you feel like like an angel bringing in the atmosphere
Stow away on a memory crawled around on what used be
Wished I knew what you before coughed your name on my (unknown here)
You can be my waterfall fill me up with river rain
Cover me in Heaven all over and over again
In the eyes of a loser, diamonds look like lumps of coal
Feel for the fire couldn't stand to be alone
YOU can be my waterfall fill me up with river rain
Cover me in Heaven all over and over again
You can be my waterfall
In my dream I was (unknown) making love to the Siamese twins
(unknown)
You can be my waterfall, fill me up with river rain
Cover me in Heaven all over and over again
You can be my waterfall, fill me up with river rain
Cover me in Heaven all over and over again
Have you seen pearly diamonds

So, anyone who knowns that song and who it is from, please please tell me =]

I'm somewhat experienced in booking rock bands at clubs & festivals, but I have a friend that does electronica music performances - kinda on the experimental side. He seems to think his stuff would go over well on college campuses - I think he may be right...

but this is new territory for me! Also been a loooong time since I've been in college. Is there a person or department that is pretty much standard across the board for contacting at colleges and/or universities? A Dean of Entertainment (lol) or maybe a Events co-ordinator etc? While we're at it - a master list of places that book music for the students would be awaesome. Thanks!

i want to know if i'm any good at figuring out song lyrics
these are what i think are the words to From the Inside by linkin park

I don't know who to trust, no surprise
Everyone feels so far away from me
Heavy thoughts sift through dust and the lies

Trying not to break but I'm so tired of this deceit
Every time I try to make myself get back upon my feet
All I ever think about is this
All the tiring time between
And how trying to put my trust in you
Just takes so much out of me

Take everything from the inside
And throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time
I won't trust myself with you

Tension is building inside steadily
everyone feels so far away from me
Heavy thoughts forcing their way out of me

Trying not to break but I'm so tired of this deceit
Every time I try to make myself get back up on my feet
All I ever think about is this
All the tiring time between
And how trying to put my trust in you
Just takes so much out of me

Take everything from the inside
And throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time
I won't trust myself with you

I won't waste myself on you
You, you
Waste myself on you
You, you

I'll take everything from the inside
And throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time
I won't trust myself with you

Everything from the inside
And just throw it all away
'Cause I swear for the last time
I won't trust myself with you
You, you

In the late 1960's the media was alive with war protests and anti-war music.

Forgive my ignorance, but where/who are the popular artists protesting the US occupation of the Middle East?
