well, It probably dates back to about 8 years ago to this day. I remember hearing it alot on WLIR a long island radio station which was known for playing rock, alternative and house or techno? back then. I remember the beginning of the song sounded like U2's without or without you and then he came in with "A heart is a.." I think? He had an accent, maybe british? It was a heavy accent with a deep voice, sounded amazing though, moved you. All I remember the song being about was how he lost his wife and son at sea or something? and how he was in sorrow, I think? It was a sad song, slow, gloomy but with this heart that made you just want to belt it out. This song always pops into my head from time to time and its' just one of those songs you can just never get a hold of, the ones that stay on th tip of your tougne. I'd really appreciate it anyone knows anything, it would me alot to me. thanks.

I agree with the poster above, sounds like Pearl Jam's cover of "Last Kiss" to me....

Lyrics...

Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to Heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The screaming tires, the busting glass
The painful scream that I heard last

Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to Heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

When I woke up the rain as pouring down
There were people standing all around
Somthing warm flowing through my eyes
But somehow I found my baby that night
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said
Hold me darling just a little while
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I had missed
Well, now she's gone even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life, that night

Oh where, oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to Heaven so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world

Woh woh woh woh woh
Ohhh oh ohhhh
Woh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh
Ohhh oh oh oh oh
Woh ohhh oh oh oh ohhhh
Ohhh oh oh oh oh

i think it could be beautiful day by u2

a heart is a bloom
shoots up from the stony ground
theres no room
no space to rent in this town
you thought youd found a friend to get u out of this place
someone u could lend a hand
in return from grace

its a beautiful day etc etc

Check out "my sacrafice" by Creed
The chorus goes, " when you are with me i'm free i'm careless i believe above all the others we'll fly, this brings tears to my eyes, my sacrafice."
