Pop, rock, any other good types of songs. I like inspirational songs and just good songs! I like Vanessa Carlton, Cheyenne, Jojo, some Gwen Stefani, Dixie Chicks, Skye Sweetnam, Avril Lavigne. What are some other songs or singers/bands I should listen to? Thanks!

I'm not a connisseur of R&B, but I've heard both Beyonce's latest and, just thei weekend, Fantasia's.

Fantasia blows Beyonce away!

Beyonce has a good voice, but what happened to her on her second disc? It just left me cold.

I Loved Beyonce in Sports Illustrated, but Fantasia is amazing! She's the one we will (or SHOULD BE) talking about in 10 years. Any thoughts?

I'm conducting a discussion lesson (for EFL learners) on people who are just "not your type", and why (they are not attractive, or have physical problems, or silly things like bad breath).
I would like to start the class off by playing the students a song to set them in the mood for discussing attraction and so on. The song should be appropriate for the classroom setting, so no foul language, please.
The only song I could think of was "Someone like you", by Van Morrison. But I'd like to play my students a more modern song, and a little bit more appropriate to the subject at hand.
Any suggestions?

If someone could please list some songs or poems that relate to the imagery of Romeo & Juliet's famous balcony love scene.

This is directly for my school project which requires

* Find a song or poem that mirrors some of the imagery in this scene and....the song my or may not have a theme like Romeo and Juliet but must have similar imagery.

* decorate it...

* type a well developed paragraph on why you chose this song/poem to relate to this scene in the play..

So please if anyone could give a list of songs/poems of IMAGERY not theme of Romeo and Juliet's Balcony scene it would be greatly appreciated.
