I know all the basics, but I need some great old classic rock bands that hardly anyone in my generation knows about.
It started out me listening to all the great old stuff, then people took note from my actions and started claiming to be fans. So I need some that hardly anyone would know about or some that never made it huge.THX :)

I would personally say Metallica, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, U2 and System of a Down and some of the nu-metal survivor clowns.

Partly because most of them are 40-somethings dressed like teenagers, partly because they try so hard to be cool and just fail miserably...

Please, if you reply, answer the question. If you disagree with me, fair enough, but these bands have put themselves on pedestals and are therefore open to criticism.

Strangely, I actually quite like System of a Down, though I can't decide if its in a so bad they're good way.
