I'd say the saddest song I ever heard was The Death of a Soldier by Ennio Morricone. It was that one featured in the movie The Good the Bad and the Ugly.

I am making a CD for myself that will have meaningful songs on that when I hear the lyrics I will think of my mom or my dad or both. And I am also going to make one for them that when they hear it they will think of me. The songs are not going by type of music or decade of music....it doesnt matter about any of that. I am going for what the lyrics are saying. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Who has recorded the most material ever?

My guess is that Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald would be part of this discussion. They would certainly be very high on the list in terms of music in the English language.

I ask 'what singer is the most prolific' because there would be many instrumentalists in the world of jazz and classical who have appeared on hundreds of recordings. But it would be interesting to know facts about their recording careers as well.

I heard a version of the "Cry Me A River" song a few years ago that had a techno/dance sound to it. The lyrics were the original lyrics and not the ones from Justin Timberlake's version.

Who was the performer/artist(s)?

I saw an out of print clssical CD for $500.00. I think that's pushin' it for a CD.
