Music - 20 January 2007

Remember boy bands? Remember pop punk music or the teen comedy movie hysteria that dominated the culture of the time? Remember when MTV still played music by white people? How about Eminem? Barenaked ladies, Blink 182 (remember "Whats my age again"), Alice Deejay, Fatboy Slim? or "Hey now your an allstar" (played at almost every bowling alley at the time)! ....

Yes folks I'm talking about the good old days indeed: the 99-2002 era. I'll never forget those prosperous years. It's so hard to believe that I graduated from high school almost seven years ago (2000)! Time has flown by so fast, yet at such a slow pace. So much has happened since then. Now it's all about bills, work, college stress, etc. Back then things were cool and carefree. Anybody here miss those wonderful years? If so please feel free to post your experiences, favorite bands/groups (remember the Spice Girls!) lol, most memorable moments of the time, etc.

I, personally, love Children of Bodom alot and I think Alexi Laiho has MAD guitar skills, but there's some criticism about his vocals. I don't really understand y. Any thoughts? opinions?

About 10 years ago I heard this song, and the melody stuck with me, but I don't remember any of the lyrics. It was a female singer. I think this part of the song went "na-na-na-na-na-nah, nah-na-na-na-na-nah" but it could have been "la", "da" or "ya". Any help is appreciated. Here is the melody.

ladies, let me know your oppinion, would you be more attracted to: a handsome guy performing who is okay at the guitar and okay at singing but his voice cracks ALOT
OR: a guy who is decent looking, not ugly, not handsome like the other guy, and kinda small, but can sing really well and play guitar even better?

i played a show for 1000 people for two nights last weekend. first show ever and i did great, and wasnt nervous and kept control during techinical difficulties. im the 2nd guy listed above, the 1st guy listed above had girls screaming and it made me think, do girls get attracted more by talent in music? or good looks and mediocre talent in music?

people told me i was alot better than him, but no girls screamed for me? haha just curious. i wanna be a musician

Don't know the name of the group. It was played briefly in the 80's. And it is rhyhym and blues I only know one line. "I'm so glad I met you, you're my one and only". It is an up tempo beat that you could dance to, but not fast. It has a great bass line . Real funky!

I cannot remember much since it was a while ago but it basically consisted of this one guy walking through a house and screaming the same phrase all over, the whole song. It was a very dark setting and the "singing" was more of a barking that was very hard to understand.

The credits say Eminem,
but ghostwriting is confusing because credits never show ghostwriters' names, so they want Eminem taking the credit.
