Remember boy bands? Remember pop punk music or the teen comedy movie hysteria that dominated the culture of the time? Remember when MTV still played music by white people? How about Eminem? Barenaked ladies, Blink 182 (remember "Whats my age again"), Alice Deejay, Fatboy Slim? or "Hey now your an allstar" (played at almost every bowling alley at the time)! ....
Yes folks I'm talking about the good old days indeed: the 99-2002 era. I'll never forget those prosperous years. It's so hard to believe that I graduated from high school almost seven years ago (2000)! Time has flown by so fast, yet at such a slow pace. So much has happened since then. Now it's all about bills, work, college stress, etc. Back then things were cool and carefree. Anybody here miss those wonderful years? If so please feel free to post your experiences, favorite bands/groups (remember the Spice Girls!) lol, most memorable moments of the time, etc.

I am 30 but Im gonna answer anyway. yes I do remember those days, and a little before then, before new metal really got big, and mtv had music on it,and bands like sublime and no doubt and the old style tool were all over the radio, and reality tv,for a very short time, was accually interesting.there were no video game consoles that went over $250,gas prices were reasonable back then, and before 9-11,America was a happier place,But things change, and we have to roll with it.the world seems much more miserable now, compared to then, but I want to think this is a temporary state of affairs. To quote the song,"keeping the faith" by Billy Joel "the good old days werent so good, tomorrow aint as bad as it seems".

Well, I'm a few years older than you, and the music of the late 90's was awful. The late 90's was when music really went downhill, and it still has not recovered. We went from the real talent of grunge and alternative in the early 90's to the cringe inducing pop of Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, the Spice Girls, and the boy bands in the late 90's. And lets not forget the nu-metal garbage of Limp Bizkit, etc., and the whiney punk-posers, like Blink 182. I do agree with you on one thing, time does fly.

Yup, nothing like the Spice Girls to dance away the cares of the world. Global warming couldn't make me anywhere near as hot as those nudist guys in Blink. Good times, good times.
Tough, living today, having to think about stuff, and stuff. Not like back in the day, when we could forget about life and watch white people on MTV.

Ah, no, not me!
Take me back to my parents' days... Hendrix, the Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin and co.
Admittedly though, I still have a soft spot for MC Hammer, Snow and Vanilla Ice, and I miss collecting basketball cards :)
