ladies, let me know your oppinion, would you be more attracted to: a handsome guy performing who is okay at the guitar and okay at singing but his voice cracks ALOT
OR: a guy who is decent looking, not ugly, not handsome like the other guy, and kinda small, but can sing really well and play guitar even better?
i played a show for 1000 people for two nights last weekend. first show ever and i did great, and wasnt nervous and kept control during techinical difficulties. im the 2nd guy listed above, the 1st guy listed above had girls screaming and it made me think, do girls get attracted more by talent in music? or good looks and mediocre talent in music?
people told me i was alot better than him, but no girls screamed for me? haha just curious. i wanna be a musician

dude have you ever watched MTV? that show is for 13 year old girls. they grow up listening to garbage with a pretty face. girls go for looks and money. if you have neither, get it. keep practicing and when you get big and have lots of money, girls will definitely scream for ya. good luck.

first of all..don't pay attention to those chicken heads. when they start seeing you all over TV and on posters, billboards, etc., you'll be looking REAL good to the ladies. (sad, but true) i teach band and i have to say, the general population does not appreciate good music...especially good instrumental music. people just want something they can shake their heiny to...i think it goes back to even the bards and all that chivalry stuff when knights would recite poetry, sing, and woe the ladies...he really didn't have to say much just as long as he looked good doing it...aesthetically pleasing men are only a plus to the strong character and intelligence/wisdom he brings...us ladies are not taught that...especially now-a-days. currently, you can blame the trend on fantasia who wants a n-i-*-*a in wife beatas and a jeans...but don't be too mad...someone will receive the blame on the next track! you keep doing what you do and if the ladies don't respond? sing louder, stronger, longer...and most importantly in tune, with lots of feeling, and in a steady tempo! stay true....

the latter, as long as the songs aren't wimpy/girly/self-conscious. if the music rocks, looks are nothing. but looks+music can be amazing. like the stones....
but so many musicians are hot because their music is killer.
clothing style is an issue too.

You may just think you are better than him and you really aren't. Most of the really famous musicians aren't really that good looking. Girls just like them because they are good singers.
