all i know it kinda sounded a lil techno and the chorus had "yabadi da ba da yaba di daba di dabad" that's all he sang in the chorus and one of the interludes or verses he kept all saying everythin is blue, life is blue , he loves blue and so on.....its an old song though...help?

Okay, so my bf and I were totally in love for a long time. Then a bunch of crazy crap and a couple of girlfriends/boyfriends pulled us apart. I'm looking for the name of an indie band (maybe it was even a solo artist) from the Seattle area (I think). I stumbled upon their work in late '02 - early '03. At the time they didn't play outside of the Portland-Seattle coffeehouse scene. I enjoyed their songs, so I purchased a CD through their website. I've since lost the CD, and the MP3s I burned from it.

***** I distinctly remember the CD cover featuring a watercolor (or drawing) of an umbrella in the rain. *****

The music was quiet, simple, and beautiful. I just recently remembered it when I came across the song "Desert Sunrise" by Seattle based artist Brett Dennen. I suspect he might have been involved with this unnamed mystery umbrella band. His most recent album cover even resembles the cover of the album to which I'm refering.

I've been trying to teach myself online. I've been to websites where they say that in 90 days you will learn to play. The thing is I can't pay to take lessons. I either need to find a free way to do it online or from a family member. Does anyone know of any free way online that's really good that easily teaches you to play?
I'm learning to play an acoustic. And I really want to start a band.
