Ok, my aunt loves rock and i used to hate it. She also listens to heavy metal and i still hate it. I normally just listen to rap& r&b & regae [sp] But lately i have been listening to ALOT of rock. That is ALMOST my favorite genre. My list goes
1. R&B [ along with some rap artists]
2. Rock
3. Rap
4. Regae
Has this ever happened to you?? Like, you did not like a certain genre for a long time and then all of a sudden you like it???

I am a complite loyalist to Punk Rock Indie music and basically cant stand rap hip hop and pop(it makes my ears bleed) so I thought how many people are like me.....and just a hint Avril Lavign, Ashley Simpson,Good Charlotte, and such ARE NOT ANYWHERE CLOSE TO ROCK OR PUNK!!I'm talking bout Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedies, Misfits, Casualties, Clash, Ramones, Bob Dylan, Mindless Self Indulgence, Nirvana,Anti Flag, Black Flag, Decemberists, Led Zeppelin,ect.

I've been playing an acoustic guitar for about five years with the same guitar; it's a palmer (which I don't even think they make anymore). It's not the best guitar in the world, but it's served it's purpose. I used some of my Christmas $$$ to buy an acoustic/electric Ibanez today. It's a great guitar, I loved the way it played in the store, but now that I'm home and really "jammin'" on it (acoustic only, no amp plugged in) I feel as if I've made a bad decision. I don't know if I'm not used to the sound of a new guitar since the old is so familiar in my mind, or I'm not used to the sound of an acoustic/electric, but I'm just not feeling it. Hands down the Ibanez has better tone and quality than the Palmer, and is flat out a superior guitar. So... I guess my question is... do I just need to play with my new guitar some more and it will grow on me? OR should I go back to the store and try out some other guitars? What are your experiences once you've bought a new instrument? Thx!

I'm just a bit fed up with people calling bands they don't like "gay." It's stupid and unoriginal (yeah, I've seen stupid homophobes ganging up on a band, all of them calling it, creatively, gay). I'm sick of people criticisizing a band because of supposed "gayness." (If you ask me, using the term "gay" as an insult any time is pretty stupid.) Does anyone agree with me, or am I the only open-minded person here?
