Music - 4 November 2006

I am making a compilation CD and I want to make one full of songs that have very smart meaningful lyrics that tell great stories. They can be any kind of music, as long as the lyrics are smart and move people when heard. Feel free to list as many as you like. Thanks for the help in advance.

Does anyone have any idea how to simplify it? Have I done it in the wrong time signature? That rhythm sounds EXACTLY as I want it to sound but it looks so complicated for a very simple rhythm. Ten points auto for the most helpful answer.

ok so this song is an oldies song I think, and I think it says something about hot summer in the city, and it's a gu singing and he says something about sidewlaks, and I think somehting about shadows too. i'm lookin for a 1st song to dance to at my wedding. i want something really pretty, and romantic, but nothing that is overplayed, or a typical. i'm not a regual country listener, but i know there are some nice ones out there, if anyone has suggestions, but just not too twangy. i'm not opposed to any other type of musc, but i want the song to be over 3 min long, and i also dont' want anything too fast paced, or 80's sounding. i know, i'm picky, but please help if you can!!! i am desperate=(
