I'm only 14 years old but I've loved to sing since I was about 8. I'm always afraid that people won't like my voice so I never sing when anybody's around. Should I forget about music or try to conquer my fears?

Just sing anyway. Join your school's choir. You don't have to sing great to join your schools choir. It's there you will learn to sing better and you'll get lots of practice, which will also improve your singing. Bonus: It's free. Try it, you'll see.

I say join the school choir, it'll get you to stop worrying about your singing really fast. You wanna know why? Most of them in there just take it because they think it's an easy A, and they can't actually sing. If they can sing badly in public, you can surely make yourself sing well in public. :)
