Does anyone know the tiltle and artist of this song? It came out in the mid 70's. It starts out ( Who loves you pretty baby, whos going to love you pretty mama) then it goes ( Whos going to love you, love you)? I luv that song. Can any intelligent person on this sight who knows about music figure it out? :)

When people have distaste for rock, are they really speaking out of their own minds, or have they been conditioned to think that way since their childhood, or have their musical choices been limited due to social conditioning?

Also, why pick on rock? I mean, the sex, drugs and rock’n’roll thing is partly historical, yet also partly mythical. Way before rock was born, blues and jazz and country musicians were living the wildest lifestyles, filled with every imaginable vice.

Jazz and country are well respected now. And hip-hop and pop (I’m just referring to the bad apples) get away with promoting unfair sexism, raunchiness and greed etc.

But which genre gets the bad rap – rock. Back to my question: conditioning, or taste, or conspiracy? Is it chiefly American? No offence to the hip-hop crew, nor America itself.

In the movie "She's All That", there is a great dance number toward the end of the movie, during the "prom scene". Some of the lyrics (I think) are "check it out...funk soul brother." I know this sounds like a conspiracy theory…

Is it a coincidence – that the media almost exclusively promotes music that always has the same, distinctively annoying signature sound? I’m referring to unimaginative, or mushy top 40 acts; common, clichéd ballad compilations and the cheesiest of techno compilations. I mean, there are loads of well-known, respected artistes out there to pick from, you know?

Or are they promoting them because – they can’t sell? LOL.

But I still can’t shake the feeling that we are being brain-washed – so that people would, like, be conditioned to think and feel a certain way; or more people would listen to ballads, which leads to you know what, which leads to keeping the economy alive, etc., etc.

Does anybody have any good insights? B.t.w., I live in Asia. I think I see some h8te coming so I’ll brace myself. LOL.
