I donno....I think you would have to be an old fan to answer this one....but I am open to anyone's opinion.....I am neither an old fan or new fan...I'm in the middle...its weird how the old fans and the new fans are divided....this guy on AFI's myspace left a comment and it really opened my eyes....I know people will call me stupid but....I really dont like it when bands are cocky and stop caring about their fans, because if it wasn't for us...they wouldn't be famous...I hear that they're shows are fake, and they aint nice to fans...even that Davey is rockin a fake british accent...I'm sorry I'm just annoyed. Yea cuz i think it's hotest thing since sliced bread ;-)
I'm not gonna say it's better than the others (Room for Squares or Heavier Things) but it definately has a different stlye to it..very hard to describe. Jazzy/Funk/Soul/Hawaiian-ness..with BB King & Eric Clapton flavor..interesting i know, you gotta hear it for yourself!
Oh yea, buy the frickin cd if you support him...none of this burning crap...everyone knows you only do that for the sucky bands =D
