Yea cuz i think it's hotest thing since sliced bread ;-)
I'm not gonna say it's better than the others (Room for Squares or Heavier Things) but it definately has a different stlye to it..very hard to describe. Jazzy/Funk/Soul/Hawaiian-ness..with BB King & Eric Clapton flavor..interesting i know, you gotta hear it for yourself!
Oh yea, buy the frickin cd if you support him...none of this burning crap...everyone knows you only do that for the sucky bands =D

Some will say that it was a letdown. Lacking the upbeat factor that other albums have conquered in the past is their main argument. But in my personal opinion, John Mayer's albums compare to a movie trilogy (prefferably Back To The Future or the infamous Indiana Jones) that fans buy to see/hear the new adventure. In this case it is a romantic drama. His next album, most likely, will consist of another growth in musical talent. John is by far the best songwriter I have ever heard (no hesitation at all). You shouldn't be disappointed.

Allmusic.com is raving for this cd giving it 4.5 stars out of 5. He was being classified as a Dave Matthews light but is earning much more respect ("Try" got a 4.5 too) especially since he's wrote most of the tunes. Also his rhythm section is very solid. I once cringed at the thought of listening to his music, but it's a likely purchase now. Is he trying to fill the blues crossover gap left by SRV?
