I can't remember much about it but it was played on TV during halloween time every year when I was very young during the 80's. I remember there were different monster like people. A frankenstein monster, a vampire, and a witch. There were two children involved and I recall them being locked in a castle (I think). This was a kids movie and was not scary.

In the late 70s/early80s there was a childrens movie, probably a tv movie cos it looked very cheap, where a couple of kids living in rural america get visited by an Alien at christmas time. The alien (a man in a green woolen outfit) showers them with candy and becomes their friend. Does anyone know what this movie is. I remember that they lived where it was cold and snowy and I think the kids were brother and sister. Anyone know what movie I am talking about?

It started off with a kid at home...and he had this Jamaican maid working at his house. She tells him a story, and pretty soon he is on this desert island. He meets some pirate-like friends...various things happen, and then I seem to remember towards the end some of the bad guys got buried to their necks in sand? Sounds weird...can you help me out? BTW it is NOT Princess Bride. Thanks...I'm thinking it came on the Disney Channel a lot.
