You've just eaten too much turkey and watched the Queens speech, now it's time for the Christmas day afternoon movie. Over the years Hollywood has produced some funny, cringe worthy, did he/she really say what I think they said and some downright unbelievably cheesy quotes. My personal favourite is from about 20 minutes from the end of The Greatest Story Ever Told, John Wayne as a centurion says "Truly, this man was the son of God" at which point you then expect him to say ""Well, there are some things a man just can't run away from." (Stagecoach (1939)). You get the idea. Alan Rickmans "Cancel Christmas" from Prince of Thieves is a good one as well.

The challenge is yours, post a quote to top the Duke's with checkable links to prove you're not making it up.

The prize for the best Answer is knowing you are a sad movie geek who probably knows more about movies than highly educated, highly paid, highly up their own anal orifices critics.

It seems like every month we've had some sort of CGI-themed movie with talking cars, animals, or somethings-or-other. I'm starting to wonder if this style of film is starting to get a little too crowded for its own good. This year, I only noticed two really worthy candidates - Cars and Happy Feet. My complaint aside, what film do you predict to win the Academy Award for "Best Animated Film" for 2006?

This is a very short movie, or an excerpt from a longer movie. I keep thinking it is by Louis Bunuel. If not, it sure could be. It is very surrealistic.

The movie was shown on TBS or TNT in the mid 90's and starred asian women who had thier limbs ripped off by an evil man. He was trying to take over where they lived or something like that. I thought this guy from mortal kombat that played Shang Tsung, real name, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa was in it, but I'm not sure. That's all I can remember. I wish I knew the name of it.

Its about a punk band. Its sort of making fun of punk bands in a sense. I know some of the lines from the movie are used in AFI's 'Answer That and Stay Fasionable' cd and its an English Comedy but I don't know too much about it.

My personal favourite for the worst Kevin Costner film has got to be The Gunrunner.

Totally weird film, keeps jumping from one country to another with no explanation of WHY.

Ok I saw the older one like I don't know how long ago but the blonde Franklin's sister after she went to that gas station or whatever that guy ties her up and takes her back to the house and then starts in on one brother for not watching the other brother or something like that was that guy their dad?
This was the OLDER ONE I don't think I saw the remake of it with that girl from 7th Heaven and if I did it was probably very little of it.

does anyone know of any films which have psychopaths in them (you need to have remembered the word psychopath being mentioned somewhere in the film tho please).

Also any films which have psychological profilers in them (ie ppl who say they know the characteristics and background of psychopaths). i have 'along came a spider' and 'silence of the lambs'.

Am trying to write an introduction to an essay...about psychopths.
Thanks

I've just been to see the latest James bond film and on the way there my other half was singing the James Bond theme. It sparked a debate (polite term for an arguement). If you're singing it,
should you sing:
"Dan daddle a dan dum dum dum dan diddle a dan!"

or should you sing:

"Bam baddle a bam bum bum bum bam baddle a bam."??????

How many of you out there sing the first and how many sing it the second way?
