More Classic Country Music Trivia?

What Missouri born country classic entertainer at one time played as the house band in a club in Las Vegas called "The Nashville Nevada Club"? He also wrote many country songs with some being recorded by Merle Haggard. He was part of the bakersfield sound of the 1950's and 1960's. This great entertainer passed away in 1985 at the age of 51.

This is my picture of my life.....
Life goes in a circle.
The first 5 years life is all about not wetting our pants.
Next fifteen years it's about making friends.
Followed by 40 years of making money.
Then is 15 years of making friends.
Finishes with the years of about not wetting our pants.

So... what do you picture your circle of life to be like?
