Apparently, we can see a great rivalry between Eastern and Western animation industries. Overall quality? Many say the west is winning, but when in terms of plots, the East is dominating. Other than Japan and the US, are there any other unknown countries that may be experiencing a major boom in its animation quality? Any other contestants or emerging power houses? Seriously, I'd like to see some South Africa or Nigerian cartoons, or perhaps something out of Brazil or Argentina.

John rows his boat at the same speed. He left his front porch one morning rowing upstream. When he was one mile from his house his hat fell off and landed in the water. It was an old hat so he continued rowing. Ten minutes later he remembered that he had a $1 bill stuck inside that old hat so he turned (without losing any speed) down river. He caught up with his hat just as it bumped up against the front of his porch. What was the speed of the river current that morning in mph?? and why? I can't solve this problem and would like some help : ).

im moving from my house into an apartment. im worried about how my dog is going to adjust. she loves going outside in our yard to play and she has neighbor dogs that she plays with through the fence. she really loves it. how can i make this change as easy on her as possible? is she going to get depressed? will she miss her friends? i just want her to be happy. i guess i feel guilty that she wont be able to run around outside when ever she wants.

What are the pros? Cons?

for me, I think:

Pros:
- at its best it is entertaining and strangely addictive

Cons:
- no skill needed (a monkey could win 1 mill grand)
- MAJOR GLOBALIZATION: it prevents other, sometimes more unique, local and cultural game shows from being produced due to the popularity of the show <=(I'm talking about "Deal or No Deal").

What do you think? Do you think that this game show had somehow globalized the planet? To what extent? Have we, people of Earth, become a tad bit more harmonius and united through a game show? (Ridiculous, I'd say...) or are we slowly losing our culture and not realizing it?
