im moving from my house into an apartment. im worried about how my dog is going to adjust. she loves going outside in our yard to play and she has neighbor dogs that she plays with through the fence. she really loves it. how can i make this change as easy on her as possible? is she going to get depressed? will she miss her friends? i just want her to be happy. i guess i feel guilty that she wont be able to run around outside when ever she wants.

Okay, if it is a lower level apartment there should be no problems if you walk your dog often. You can always take the dog to the park. It is no big deal to the dog. It is just a matter of establishing a territory and a routine.

PS. You used the word House on a Tuesday. That may be why.

Just make sure you get her out for walks. Then she won't miss much. Is there a dog park nearby? If so, go there and let her play. What about a dog daycare facility? She might have fun going to a daycare once a week. The dogs get to socialize, play, and have fun. Very good therapy and the dogs usually go home tired.

There are always options for you and the dog if you go in search of them.

Walk her alot & look for another place with a yard & possible a companion dog as well to keep her company.Maybe share a place with someone else who has a dog.

I think it will be a little upseting to her since she loves being outside but i think after time she'd get use to it...at first she might be depressed and not like it but as long as she can still go outside i think it will ok....even though it wont be the same...i think it will take time to adjust and after she'll get use to it.
