After Obi-Wan is killed by Darth Vader, then his spirit is somewhere and he talks to Luke, telling him to use the force at various times and even appear as a glowing figure.

If Obi-Wan can talk to Luke whenever he wants after his death, he should be able to tell him everything and warn him about any danger before he runs into it! He could say "Luke don't go that way, you'll hit an asteroid belt" or " Luke make sure you don't stand over the trap door at Jaba's palace so you won't get eaten by the Rancor monster". !
