why are you? or why aren't you? i am but i get a lot of crap from my friends who aren't.

i am... my entire body skin and all. My husband and I both are. We are because we believe that it will go to a better cause then just being put in the ground. Pleanty of people ferilize the ground every day by being burried. We want to help out people who could possibly live because of our healthy organs. My sister was saved because of an organ donor.

Yes i am (except my eyes), if my children needed a transplant i would want someone to be a donor, i also give blood and am on the bone marrow donor list for the same reason

my mother passed, she was an organ donor.they said it would be up to 8 hours before they were able to "place" her organs. she was on life support and would keep her on until they were done.as a family we went against her wishes we had to make the decision to take her off of life support and couldn't handle another 8 hours of torture! it was selfish of us but my mom passed unexpectedly and at first we were given hope that she just had a stroke and would regain consciousness.24 hours later we had to make a decision.our situation was unique and the Representatives from CORE(organ donor org.) miss represented themselves. they told us it would be about an hour and we were fine with that then they told us about the recovery time and in total it would have been 8 hours. in a different situation im sure we would have gone through with it.

Yes I think its wonderful, the thought that after I die I may in some way give someone a better life! I dont see Y its wrong, seems right to me.

Yes, I figure once I'm dead then I won't need my organs anymore so why not let someone have them instead of them rotting in the ground.
