There are many avenues of advertising: print, web, radio, TV, etc., The idea of an unadvertised sale is that the company notifies their select client base before notifying the 'general public' to let these select buyers in on the sale before it goes public.

So they are 'advertising' it to a select base, not everyone.

It means that they don't advertise in the usual mediums. They will still talk about it. Where did you see that there was an Unadvertised Sales?
