Entertainment & Music - 13 January 2007

My husband and I had a discussion the other day about how we like a lot of the music our kids listen to (ages 17 & 22) but our parents did not like our music when we were teens/20-somethings. Also, our kids like a lot of the music from our era (now considered golden oldies!). Have you noticed this to be true for you also? And why do you think the big difference?

fox a chicken and some grain trying to cross a river?

A man is on his way to the local marketplace to sell a fox, a chicken and some grain. He has to cross a river, and his boat is just big enough to carry him and one of the other three.

When he arrives at the river, he knows he's got a problem. If he leaves the fox and the chicken, the fox eats the chicken. Otherwise, if he leaves the chicken and the grain, the chicken eats the grain.

How does the man get the fox, the chicken and the grain to the other side of the river?

Does anybody know how to get the best acoustics in a school hall?

Hi, our band is playing in our school assembly on friday, we consist of two guitarists, a bassist, a singer and a drummer using basic amplifiers, nothing special. The sound acoustics in the room are pretty bad, it echoes too much and we are not on a stage so the sound we produce will be absorbed quickly within the first few rows of people. Does anybody know how to get the best sound so the audience will hear us better and enjoy it more, the hall isn't extremely big. Please try and answer before the the 19th of January 2007.
