I am considering a career in screen writing, but I am curious to know how much they get paid. Are they salary, or do they get paid per movie? Do they make a percentage of the profit, or a flat amount?

A husband and wife are getting all snugly in bed. The passion is heating up. But then the wife stops and says, "I don' t feel like it. I just want you to hold me."

The husband says, "What?!!!"

The wife explains that he must not be in tune with her emotional needs as a woman. The husband realizes that nothing is going to happen tonight and he might as well deal with it.

So the next day the husband takes her shopping at a big department store. He walks around and has her try on three very expensive outfits. He then tells his wife, "they all look great, we'll buy all three of them."

Then he goes over and gets matching shoes worth $300 each. And then goes to the jewelry department and gets a set of diamond earrings. The wife is so excited, and trying to take advantage of her husband's generous mood, she goes for the tennis bracelet.

The husband says, "You don't even play tennis, but if you really like it then let's get it."

The wife is practically jumping up and down with excitement. She says, "Okay, I'm ready to go, let's take all of this stuff to the register."

The husband says, "No-no-no, honey, we're not going to buy all this stuff."

The wife's face goes blank.

"No, honey, I just want you to hold this stuff for a while."

Her face gets really red and she's about to explode when the husband says, "You must not be in tune with my financial needs as a man!"

An America couple was being shown around Moscow one day, when the man felt a drop hit his nose.

"I think it's raining," he said to his wife.

"No, that felt more like snow to me," she replied.

"No, I'm sure it was just rain," he said.

Well, as these things go, they were about to have a major argument about whether it was raining or snowing.

"Let's not fight about it!" the man said. "Let's ask our guide, Rudolph, whether it's officially raining or snowing."

As their tour guide approached, the man said, "Tell us, Comrade Rudolph, is it officially raining or snowing?"

"It's raining, of course," he replied officiously.

But the woman insisted, "I know that it felt like snow!"

The man quietly replied, "Rudolph, the Red, knows rain, dear!"

This will be the THIRD time I have attempted to post this!!!!!!

Here goes:

I was at the local supermarket, and they were having a sale on Cap'n Crunch with Crunchberries......$1.89/box. As I was wrapping my hand around the LAST BOX, some old lady's gnarled, arthritic claw came out of nowhere and tried to push me aside to get to it. I stood my ground. She then swung a bag of bread at my head while emphesemically gasping, "You godd@mn beaner, that box is MINE!" So, I kicked her walker out from under her, grabbed the box, and ran away.

Hey, SHE started it............

'50s: Elvis Presley - for being Elvis Presley
'60s: The Beatles - for being The Beatles
'70s: Sex Pistols - punk and new wave being the first resurrection in rock history, giving it a new direction
'80s: Depeche Mode - the electronic revolution, and how it reached the masses
'90s: Nirvana - the underground boom

Note: they are NOT necessarily the best or most succesful groups/artists, but the most influential ones, who made an impact, changed the name of the game, etc. Please leave me alone with real pioneers, like Iggy Pop for punk, Kraftwerk for electronic music, I'm talking about the iconic ones who did that on a global scale.

Any views?

The National Transportation Safety Board recently divulged that they had for the past five years covertly funded a project with US auto makers whereby the auto makers installed black boxes in four wheel drive pickup trucks in an effort to determine, in fatal accidents, the circumstances in the last 15 seconds before the crash. They were surprised to find in 44 of the 50 states that the last words of drivers in 61.2 percent of fatal crashes were, "Oh, ****!" Only the states of West Virginia, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee were different, where over 89.3 percent of the final words were: "Hold my beer and watch this."
