Jimi Hendrix seems to be at the top of every guitar list, but I don't see why he's so special. He might have been original, but I think that any of the following could have killed him as far as skills go:
- Joe Satriani
- Steve Vai
- Yngwie Malmsteen
- Eric Clapton
- Eddie van Halen
- Jimmy Page

I KNOW Vai and Satriani are better than Hendrix, the others might be.

Does anyone else think that there are a lot of better guitarists than Hendrix now?

I would sure like to be rid of this nagging question

What was the mid-to-late 70's tv show about the adventures of a half-alien half-human being, who had the ability to manipulate light (photons, anyway) and focus such as powerful energy blasts?
I remember being fascinated with that idea, but, even as a child, thinking it wasn't very well done. I can recall one episode where the hero escaped being trapped in a pitch black cave only by the fortunate and unbelievable appearance of a firefly. The show didn't last very long.

His colleague Richard Roeper has been doing this weird experiment with anybody and everybody coming on to do film criticism. Last week Jay Leno took a stab at film criticism.

I used to value Ebert's film reviews, but he's gone downhill lately. I still watch his program, but I no longer value his views on movies like I once did. The opinons I now look up to, as far as film reviews are concerned, are on radio station KPCC. The radio station has a Friday radio show called Film Week. Usually two critics rotate on the show with a bunch of other people, with a animation critic, if there is an animated feature about to be reviewed..
