I've noticed quite a few black people say that, I find it pretty annoying. So I don't think it's just a rapper thing. I have no idea why, just one of those ebonic things maybe?

that's merely an accent, believe it or no longer all and distinctive has one. Langauges evolve, words get replaced. there is any such seperation between a large type of white and black those that contained in the most segregated elements, the langauge replaced in yet in a special way. it truly is a headache to target to get the little ones I teach to spell "ask" besides the undeniable fact that... they prefer to spell it "aks" the different one which I actually have a large type of problems with is saying "scr-" truly of "str-" like "highway" receives written "screet."
