Once you put the sock on (I recommend starting with the right foot) stand up and wiggle your toes. If the phone rings while you are wriggling your toes quickly remove the sock, it's on the wrong foot.

I usually go with the sock that has the thumb toe sticking out the farthest. Ex. if the right thumb toe sticks out, I'll but the sock on that foot, & vice versa.

It doesn't matter just pick a foot.Unless they are toe socks then look for the big toe
