Why is there so much junknews on the cable news channels?

Since when do people care about horses with broken legs and Lindsay Lohans latest boyfriend....? THATS NOT NEWS!!

There is 24 hours a day news on so many channels, they try to compete. The other day on the Today Show they had a dog who was supposed to be guarding these stuffed bears and destroyed the entire store. Matt made a crack that it was a slow news day, but I thought it was a cool news story.

The media figures that's what people care about because that's all they care about. I agree, it's not news, it's basically trash.
