I have never really read comic stories before, but would really like to start! I don't know what is good and bad in comics, or even what I am looking for or at in the comic book store. I was just wondering how I could get into it, I really want to start picking up comics a lot more and reading them, but I just don't know how or what I am doing...I hope this doesn't sound to stupid, but I don't want to jump into anything without knowing a little something about it. How do I find out about story lines happening already? I picked up a Wizard Mag subscription to hopefully give me some more insight. Can anyone help with this wierd and mondain question, thanks a lot!

I recently purchased a DVD of the old cartoon of Superfriends for my kids, thinking they'd get a kick out of a cartoon that was their Dad's favorite cartoon growing up. I watched it with them and it was TERRIBLE. So cheesy. The kids liked it though. Has anyone else seen a favorite childhood program as an adult and thought the same way? What was it?
