can't think of it, but is there a single word which describes that something will e.g. both bring joy and pain, that you can't get one without the other? All I can think of right now is ambiguous, but that's definitely not it.

What do a Digital Camera and Earwax have in common?

All I have so far is that they both protect you from intruders (a security camera, and earwax trapping foreign bacteria and viruses).

It is a strange topic, so be creative!

Why are people saying this word all of a sudden?
I saw it for the first time when I read an article on Emma Watson being stalked in school by a weird fan and he was Zealous. Now I keep seeing people using the word all the time. It's annoying me.

BTW i do know what it means!

My husband and I were watching Jeff Foxworthy's new game show (Are you smarter than a fifth grader), and I would *swear* the "correct" answer was actually incorrect. A sentence was given, and the students were asked how many adjectives were in the sentence. I looked at the sentence and answered four without hesitation... but the "correct" answer was *three*. They did not include "the" in the adjectives.

When I was in school (not so *very* long ago), there were eight parts of speech (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, conjunction, interjection, preposition, and pronoun. Now, apparently, articles have been given their own designation as a part of speech, for a total of nine. When did this happen, and more importantly, *why*?

An article is *clearly* a type of adjective. It describes the noun as either definite or indefinite. If you diagram a sentence, the article is diagrammed like an adjective.

I realize that this is a small matter, but it bothers me. I am neurotic.

Please help me settle an arguement between my two teen-age boys and their grandma, who is a former English teacher. Which is correct, "I sweat all over my head while we were out." or "I sweated all over my head while we were out."?

Although 'sweated' is in the dictionary, is it really proper usage?

Your input is greatly appreciated.

I am trying to create a catchy book title. The Confidential "Person" is what I want to convey, but "person" isn't too catchy! Here are some other possibilities. What do y'all think?
The Confidential " "...

Self, someone, creature, heart, creation, companion, consort, contact, concept and confession.

Anyway...these are what I've come up with...perhaps there is another even better that I haven't even thought of?

Please vote for your favorite and/or pop in a new and better word!

Thank You All Very Much!
