I understand that the term racism is used to define the dislike of a particular race. What is the term however for the dislike of someones culture or heritage beacuse I think it may be different to racism. Thanks.

Something which is not really the way it seemed when you were a kid, but appears to be, or something which on first glance is one thing, but on close examination is quite unexpected, is called "counter-intuitive." My example is the way you expect a snake to be slimy because it is shiny. Shiny things are wet, right? That's your intuition. But the fact is, the snake's scales are shiny but smooth and dry. Counter-intuitive.

I asked a question that if somebody know the meaning of calendar-dog and some body answered me that "if anybody turn off pants this is called calender dog". but I don't understands what he means. So do you know what this sentence means: "Turn off pants"?
