Can someone please help me with the following math problem:

3 men go to a motel it is $30.00 for one night, so each man pays $10.00....as the night goes on the clerk realizes he over carged them so he gives the bell boy $5.00 to give back to the men, but the bell boy pockets $2.00 and gives $1.00 back so each man paid $9.00. So if each Man paid $9.00 that equals $27.00 and the bell boy pockets $2.00 which equals $29.00 what happend to the other $1.00????
