Tommorow I have a big earth science honors midterm exam. Our teacher told us the test has 180 questions, and we have about an 1.5 hours to do it. So, I figure that is about 2 questions per minute.
Does anyone have any good tips for taking these kinds of exams? I know that I have to work quickly, but how quickly? Should I try to have enough time to check it over at the end? Thanks all.

When it comes to reading, I suck. I mean I read slow, like if I have to read a book for school. My PRPH (pages read per hour) is about 10. Meaning I only get like 10 pages done every hour on a standard book, like Harry Potter. If I read more quickly, I can get like 20 pages done an hour, by I tend to close focus. So, if I were reading for understanding it would take me nearly 10 hours for 100 pages !!! I do not think that is normal. Anyone mind sharing their PRPH. Also, this is what hurts me on the SAT reading section, and I only end up with about 400 points on it. IS THERE anyway to get better ? I'm good at math because it's a learning concept and I can remember HOW to do things. But when I have to read a book, I get worried I might miss an important detail. Don't get me wrong, I can read fine when it doesn't really matter. Like if I'm reading a magazine for restaurant sign, but my problem comes when I have to read a book that I am going to have a test or quiz on. Help on SAT/reading.

I have the SAT THIS WEEK. AHHHHH, I have been studying but I want to get higher than my other SAT scores. How do I get WAY BETTER, QUICKLY. I know buy those SAT books and take practice test. But I'm looking for something beyond- like a good website (I already know about collegeboard.com). If you have taken the SAT- What really helped to increase your score ? My scaore was like a 1500 out of 2400. And I want to get a 1700. Do you know how to gain 200 easy points ? The reading is especially hard for me, but there isn't really a way to get better besides studying vocabulary words, but I only got a few days left. My math is alright with a 610. Maybe if you know how to increase it more. AND MY WRITING, I think really needs to improve because that is actually an easy section, but I end up getting only 410 on it. Do you know a good WEBSITE or book for GRAMMER RULES and ERRORS. Please someone help.

Sometimes, I really feel that there's no point in them. When we take a test, we only have to memorize the information for a short while, just long enough to take the test. We can look over it just before the test, or the night before and still get a 100. It doesn't really measure your knowledge. I mean, I get 100s on a lot of tests because all I have to do is memorize, but it's pretty pointless. You barely have to know any concepts, because you just go over everything in class.

The way school and tests are is good for me because I have a good short-term memory, but I still don't really like tests.
