I've built a great stock/forex trading application in Visual Basic that I'm about to offer to the public. I'm using MsChart to create the charts and I want to display candlesticks. To do so I need to be able to display the chart in a stacked bar format, and I need to be able to set the bars very narrow. I haven't found this online anywhere or even in MSDN. I hope someone here knows the answer.

1. There is a database called "products". It contains the fields "productName", "productID", and "productDescription".

2. This database is queried, and the results are placed in an array called productArray. ProductArray is passed to a function called showSearchResults.

3. showSearchResults uses a foreach loop to display the "productName" of each element in the array. Each displayed name is hyperlinked to a page called "showMoreInfo.php".

4. When any of these hyperlinks are clicked, "showMoreInfo.php" will display the "productDescription" of whichever product's hyperlink was clicked.



It's steps 3 and 4 that I can't seem to figure out. I'm not even sure that I can use the foreach loop, because, if I use it to display the productNames, it acts as if $productId doesn't exist. I also don't know how to tell showMoreInfo.php which hyperlink was clicked.

I'd appreciate specific coding suggestions for the showSearchResults function and the showMoreInfo.php page,

Im a drafter, only 19, with 2 yrs work experience and 1 1/2 years in a votech school.
So the job i am at now, my boss wants me to draw 3d models of our homes for clients. he wants photo-realistic pictures and walk-throughs.
So he decided to buy the most expensive program, 3DS Max, and send me to NYC for 3 days to take a course to leanr to use it.
the class didnt teach me much. All we did was the basicsof the program. I asked about how I would draw a house but the instructor wouldnt really go into detail with us.
he said i could take a 2d model and extend it. but thats it. i dont know what to do after that.
currently i use autodesk 2007 and do all my work in 2d. i dont know how to use autodesk for 3d.
i tried looking online for tutorials for modelling a house but they all show you how to make an ugly box.
Can someone please help me out? Give me a good tutorial site, tell me what i need to do ANYTHING i need help.

For example, if you have a url:

http:// www.mypage.com/ showinfo.php ?id=22

what do the values to the right of the question mark mean (in this case, id=22)?

I believe that it's a way to pass variable information via hyperlinks-- am I correct? And once you get to the showinfo.php page in the example, what code would you need in order to access id's value?

(Specific code examples, or a reference to a tutorial on the subject, would be appreciated. I don't even know what this passing-values-with-hyperlinks thing is called, so I can't look up tuotorials on my own!)

When I try to save a file to a Cd so I can upload it to Photobucket an error message comes up saying that the file can't be saved because it is a read-only file.

How do I change it from being a read-only file to being read/write so I can save it on a CD and upload it to Photobucket?

(It needs to be in the formats that are aloud to be uplaoded to Photobucket.com)

The first link is #990000 which is fine, however i want the second link to be #33CC33 as is the colour of the text lower down. I'm sure this is really simple and maybe the penny might drop soon but for now this is really got me stumped.

Any suggestions? (i'm using dreamweaver 8)

I need to know which one is better to store data.For example in a site like orkut or myspace. i need to store the scraps of users .it is expecting millions of users Which is better to store datas-database or xmls?i Know there is security problem with xmls but i plan to store xmls in amazon s3.So i think there wont be anymore of a security issue. So anyone can help me in finding a better pick of the two .We should think of scaling it to millions of users.When we think of database, there is problem when server is down or crashed we loses all datas with it,but when datas are on xmls stored in amazon even if one server is down backup servers can fetch it from amazon?.But some say there can occur some problem with datatransfers if we are using xmls ,when we scale it to millions of users.I ahvent found yet a good solution of the two.I am really confused.Please help me to find the better choice.

Note:Very security related datas are not to be stored on xmls.

hi all

i want to print my crystal report on a dot matrix printer.
my report is actually a Bar Bill, its short but the printer skips the whole A4 Page after printing 1 Bill.
i want tht printer shud stop after printing and then it shud start printing next Bill right from whr it stopped
