I have a created a 50 page pdf file. I want to put the word SAMPLE across the middle in large letters at 50 percent opacity.
But when I re-save the page (as a single page, as pdf) the file loses resolution.
Is there any way to prevent this? I am working in A4

I am trying to upload an .htaccess file to my webroot directory using Fetch and Mac OSX but OSX won't let me create a file with a "." at the beginning off the file name without making it an invisible file therefore making it impossible to upload to my host server...sorry I am a newb at web stuff and I have a site uploaded that won't work with domain name unless you type in the exact file name you are trying to get in the URL.
Eg. www.webaddress.ca - comes up with a virtual directory error even though I have an index.html file in the main directory but if I type in www.webaddress.ca/index.html it will load my page fine.
HELP! I need to go live in a couple of days and this is making me nuts!

how should we create a simple text file in a web application.
i used
File file = new File("reports/one.txt");
to create a text file under the reports folder .This "reports" folder is along with the web-inf folder.
when i executed the servlet which had this code,its creating the file some where out side the application. i want that to create under the "reports" folder. how to achieve this. please help me.

I made a C program that uses simple file handling and types some command in a bat file. Then It runs the bat file using 'system' statement in 'process.h' . The problem is it runs in NTVDM ie suppose if i give the command to run a file in C:\asdfasdfadf.txt, it uses only the eight character of the file name. The batch file works perfectly when run in cmd.exe. Is there any way to start the bat file in cmd using a C program

I create a Asp page which gets the username and password form the Login page. And also it get the DB server, UserId and Password. My setup file and application ran fine before, until I added flash.ocx into my application to enable flash movie to be played in the opening screen.

I added the flash.ocx into setup file (msi). I installed & registered it in destination computer (WinXP Pro SP2) that has no Flash player installed.

When I started my application, it gave me error 'Run-time error 429: ActiveX component can't create object'.

I tried another solution by downloading merge module from www.adobe.com and integrated it into my setup file. Compilation give no error. But when I run the setup file, it gave error 'Internal error 2730. 0'. When the merge module is removed, the setup file gives no error.

How to solve this issue?

I had the old msn messenger and I upgraded to live......some one signed in my the old messenger and when I open a browser his msn starts....the problom is, I can not find the old msn to get it off my pc....it comes up blind...his friends keep thinking I am him,,,,I dont want the old msn on here any more.
I have tried to remove it but the only msn in add remove is the new one.
please someone can you offer GOOD help...
