Internet - February 2007

I want to optimize my web pages so that our homepage will rank high in Google!. Many of our web pages require password to log in. If I only want the homepage to rank high, can I just optimize 10 or 20 pages that have meaningful content, or I should optimize 100+ web pages? Among those 100+ web pages, some of them are just sign in page, forgot password page.

Will I boost my web homepage ranking by optimize more pages? or it doesn't make any difference?

My dad said that he saw two of his co-workers typing in their home state on the computer and they managed to go on a site and see video footage of people walking around the city, live footage. My dad didn't remember what was the name of the site, so I was wondering if anyone knows a certain site to look for this type of information. I typed it here on Yahoo and it's just info on the state, economy, everything...please help!!! Thanks!!

And of course it will be great if they also provide free domain name : velberg@velberg.com

it says that my firewalls settings did block MSN. but whenb=n i checked it that MSN messenger listed as 'exceptions'.it also tells me that these numbers -80048820. i really dont understand with this problems... anyone really can help me..? please

thx u guys, yea, i knew there are probs with firewall. da keyports at connection troubleshooter also shows da same thing. how can i make it become NorMal again??? please someone...

ok, well i just wanna go into this site http://forceduprise.net and i can see the main page, but it doesnt have a layout, i havent asked if its like that yet....but well, when i try to register it wont let me saying that it had a problem loading page (im using firefox) i also tried on IE and i get the same thing... and when i try to go into any other page inside that page it wont let me, can anyone help me?

When i am using firefox and try to log into my email it says that my ssl is disabled. But when i use internet explorer it works just fine. On firefox i checked the options and under advance it has ssl 3.0 checked and its still not working. How do i enable the SSL for firefox?

Hello There.
When we surf the net we sometimes get adverts relating to our locality - for example, "Meet Girls/Guys/Hamsters in Wellington (which is where I live).
Suddenly my PC is sending me "Meet Girls/Guys/Hamsters" in New York. I'm concerned that if my PC thinks it's in another country, this may be a botnet issue. Any ideas?

First off, don't say get a faster connection. Not an option where I live. I've resigned myself to the fact that it will take 3-6 days to download a 350MB file. I'm cool with that. But I was wondering if someone could explain the whole connection speeds and such to me. I want to optimize my settings so that I *can* get that lovely 5kbs DL speed. I've been using Azureus, but am going to try uTorrent now. Testing shows my upload speed to be 27 kb/s and DL speed at 42 kb/s.
