Internet - October 2006

Each time I close my e-mail, or "answers" a window opens saying "the Yahoo browser has encountered problems and needs to close - tell microsoft about this problem" - I click send report etc, then click close on the next 2 windows. Then another window opens and says "Dr Watson Postmortem debugger has encountered problems and needs to close- tell microsoft about this problem" press report, then close the next two windows.

If I click for more details, it freezes up altogether, and I can only get out via ctrl,Alt,del.
When I come to close down the computer it gives me a "YBrowser.Exe" closing down window, inviting me to end programme - which it doesn't do until the "programme not responding window comes up and I then click "end prog".
It is annoying as it does it for every visit I have made to e-mail or answers during that session - taking a long time to shut down the computer.
It is only the Yahoo visits that cause this problem, everything else is fine.

We have 2 computers at home. I emailed a Microsoft Word document to my own email address, to enable me to open it on the other computer and edit it. I did that, saved the document, but when I tried reloading it, Word said it couldn't locate it! Where did my dratted computer save my file to? Can it be retrieved? Thanks in advanced, a stressed computer amateur

Haha this is going to sound really strange, but i quite like getting them, they amuse me.
Plus they all go into a spam folder so i dont have to read them if i dont want. I just find them really amusing.
Does anybody know where i can sign up or leave my email that will get me loads of it? :D

i just reformatted my laptop and i accidentally clicked yes when it said "do not ask me for this again" or whatever.

how can i change that?

because i DO want it to remember my password.

I bought a laptop on Monday 16th and on Wednesday I asked when it would arrive. I was told the seller was on holiday and would get a colleauge to dispatch it that night. On Thursday I was told it would be dispatched that night. I haven't recieved it. I was told by the seller he would speak to me in a few days ie. Monday/Tuesday and I probably will have recieved it by then. I have paid £25 Parcelforce delivery I don't think I should have to wait this long to recieve it. The seller has no feedback so I paid by paypal just incase.
Do you think this is a scam?
What should I do?

does anybody know of a site where you can get an aerial photo of your house for free? i have googled this subject , but the ones that are coming up only allow you to view from about 1/2 mile up , i was looking for something , say 150-200 yards.

In the Friends area in Myspace, after a couple of Friends were removed, I noticed the displayed number of Friends has not allowed for this and still shows the original number of Friends. How can I get the number to match the number of Friends actually there? I have contacted Myspace with this, but so far have not received a reply. I hope you can help please.

I changed a folder's permission to 155 by accident.. Now i cant change it to any other number

I seem to have set/ installed everything ok, the connection is fine, signal excellent etc but when I try to access the net via internet explorer it says cannot find server. This is driving me nuts! could someone please help? I've done everything according to the dlink installation manual. The modem and router are set up on another computer in the house (not by me :-))
